Michael began his career in the financial services industry in 1988, working in State Street Bank’s personal trust department and later as a financial advisor for NYLife Advisors. He has spent the last two decades as a Senior Relationship Manager partnering with pension, endowment and sub-advisory clients to help them attain their investment objectives. He has a degree in Business from Ithaca College and earned the CFP® designation as well as a Master’s degree in Personal Financial Planning.
After several decades of working with large institutional clients at some of Boston’s leading investment firms including Putnam Investments, State Street Bank, The Boston Company and Northern Cross, Michael returned to the area of finance that he is most passionate about – helping individuals and families achieve their financial goals.
Michael joined Clark Asset Management in 2019 to help service the firm’s clients and manage their investment portfolios. He believes that investment guidance should be comprehensive, objective and low cost, which aligns perfectly with the firm’s belief in transparent, holistic advice for a fixed flat fee.
Originally from Buffalo, NY, Michael has lived in Cohasset, MA for nearly thirty years with his wife, Linda and their two grown children, Morgan and Jack. When he’s not helping individuals and families manage their finances you can find him on the golf course, at the skeet and trap field, on his road bike or playing in the wood shop - but his favorite place to be is anywhere with his family.
Hello, I’m Christian Messemer. I joined Clark Asset Management in January of 2022 and bring with me over ten years of advisor and financial planning experience. I cut my teeth at Morgan Stanley, moved to a regional RIA, and most recently worked as a Financial Planner and Rothologist at a boutique planning firm that focused explicitly on Roth Conversion strategies for high-net-worth individuals.
If you prefer advisors with education and letters, I’ve got that too: a bachelor’s (1998), a master’s (2010), and a doctorate (2020). I earned the CFP® in 2007, and between 2014 and 2018, I taught personal financial planning at the collegiate level.
I’m a relationship-driven connector who enjoys meeting new people and adding value to the lives of others. In the planner-client interaction, my work creates value and earns your trust, which results in you executing your plan and achieving your goals.
I have a passion for financial planning, but my family takes center stage. I’m married to Matia and have two kiddos, Anna and AJ. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, watching college football (Go Vols!), coaching my son’s flag football team, and serving in my local church.
Hi, I’m Jessica. I joined Clark Asset Management in January of 2022. I’ve spent over 10 years in Operations Management at a large institutional financial Services firm supporting 1500+ advisors with operations, practice management and portfolio solutions before joining Clark Asset Management as the Director of Operations. I love improving processes and supporting our firm’s growth.
Following my passion for personal finance, I earned a Certificate in Financial Planning from UC Berkley and obtained the CFP® in 2018. I knew that I would eventually pursue my passion for financial planning and work with a firm that delivers excellent value to clients. Clark Asset Management, because of its investment philosophy and flat-fee structure, was just the right fit.
I’m a native Californian living in the Silicon Valley with my 2 furbabies, Kevin and Chewy. When I’m not geeking out on the latest operational efficiencies or financial planning research, I enjoy hiking on the coast, farmer’s markets and wine tasting.
Amy joined Clark Asset Management as a Paraplanner in 2020. She assists the team in preparing financial plans and reports and provides on-going support to clients. Amy’s Bachelor’s degree is in Human Services and she spent several years serving Minnesota families as a county social worker. In 2016, Amy decided to pursue her long-time passion for personal finance. She went back to school and in 2018 earned a Masters in Financial Planning from South Dakota State University. She is currently studying to attain the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation in the fields of tax, insurance, investments, retirement and estate planning. She has spent the last year providing planning support to financial advisors. Amy thoroughly enjoys financial planning and the role it plays in helping people achieve their personal goals.
Amy resides in Sartell, MN. She has four children Bronwyn, Preston, Patton, and Jackson. Her children are all very active in sports, so she spends a lot of her time in hockey arenas and baseball fields. She enjoys being outside as much as possible in the warm months and spends the winters skiing or skating on the neighborhood pond. Besides spending time with her friends and family, Amy loves travelling, history, podcasts, and music. She particularly enjoys a good road trip, especially if it ends in Williamsburg, VA; Savannah, GA; or the Black Hills in South Dakota.
My wife, Stephanie, and I have been with Clark Asset Management since the beginning. I lead the effort in supporting the CAM Team with creating a great client service experience; ensuring accounts are properly setup at TD Ameritrade and that everything runs smoothly with respect to funding, transferring, and taking distributions from accounts.
I served in the US Navy from 1988-1992. Following my honorable discharge, I attended the University of Akron in Akron Ohio. I worked as an electrician for many years before I changed careers in 2014 and earned the Registered Paraplanner Certification.
Stephanie and I have been married for 27 years and we live in Ohio with our 2 children.
